Reflective Writing

Reflective writing is as much about looking back and analysing as it is about looking forward.
When most people reflect they write about what they have done ...just looking back. Instead we should be writing more about our thoughts: why? How?
implications....I have learned something but so what?

Some other thoughts on reflective writing:

Description is important but should be kept to a minimum.

Hindsight is an important part of reflection and our thoughts on it can change over time.

Thinking beyond the immediate problem is a good way of thinking...thinking on your feet!

Learning into action thoughts:

The great aim of education is not knowledge but action. Herbert Spencer

In order to carry a positive action we must develop here a positive vision. Dalai Lama

There is a possibility of learning things about yourself you are not comfortable with.

Reflective writing can improve self confidence.....it formalizes our thinking.
