Teaching as Inquiry

During Monday's staff meeting we had a look at teaching as Inquiry.

A focus of Inquiry means to focus on something and allow it to flourish.

This year our school focus will be writing. We need to consider what we want to focus our attention on?

It is important to remember that we are looking at this through the lens of collaboration and that
there is no failure in this. It is all trying. If we want something to change we need to change what we are doing so we can focus on exactly what we can do to promote progress. It might be that we take a writing sample and delve into it deeply to support why we are making change. It's important that this is justified within a team. We need to remember that this is ultimately about changing student outcomes.

In week 10 of this term we are to share our action plan. I think it would be a good idea to observe in another hub and to bring something back to our own team to help our teams own writing programme.
